Strong Woman with a weak Man

 

I was told that I'm intimidating and a strong woman, I didn't know how to take that in when I was younger, but now I see it as a good thing. I went through some weak, lazy, men that just don't know how to provide for a family. I take on all the role in the house, I'm the mommy, daddy, big sister, aunt, uncle and that person everyone walk over.

So one day I was talking to my friend about my break up, it was a very bad experience for me. I needed someone to lean on for support, after I was finish with my conversation with this friend all she said was you strong you get through it.

But that was not the answer I needed. So it made me think, just because I'm strong I can't call on no one to lean on. So then when my father was a jerk to me and I needed someone to talk to about him, I reach out to my Aunt and she told me you strong sometimes you have to be the parent when your parent can't be. "What kind of answer is that," that is not what you say to a little girl that need her father in her life.

So I realize I will never have anyone to reach out to not my friend, family, or co worker. Because I'm so intimidating people treat me different all the time. So now I'm 20 +10 years old , being a strong woman is not a bad thing we as women try to dumb our self down for others "WHY" to make them feel better but what about my feeling. Since no one want to think about my feelings I have to do it myself. I will no longer, dumb myself down, and if I get a compliment I won't put myself down to please another anymore. So LADY'S please start treating yourself what you are worth and surround yourself with other like you.
